"The wealthy hippies were out in full force for the Tucson folk festival. A strange child of the Earth danced to my songs right in front of the stage. This added to the increasingly awkward silence in the crowd, who didn't know what to make of the large gypsy releasing her free spirit in front of them. I found it was great fun changing the tempo of my compositions, as this would throw her off kilter, and momentarily halt the inner love child trying to break free. All in all, it was a good hootenanny, and I had a good long nap after-wards."

Asked by my friend Dave of "The Death of Apollo" to open for him and The John Punch band at Cafe Dekcuf. Its a weird little place, no windows, lots of dark corners were various shady individuals came to socialize on a Saturday night. Dekcuf spelled backwards is "Fucked" in case you didnt notice.... someone is obviously very clever. Personally I think "cafe Fucked" would have been a much better name, I suppose there are many variations you could come up with, if you really wanted to get randy about it.. I came to the conclusion however, that these things should be left to the experts.. Anyways, a good crowd showed up, and though solo gigs usually go unheard at loud places like this, the reception was good. I enjoyed it.
